The aquifer has remained untouched for centuries having once been under the sea, which left behind layers of protection down to this confined chalk aquifer. This has been confirmed as being a great discovery. The confined aquifer acts as a natural filter taking decades in the process resulting in the purest water you can get. This measures 300 metres thick with enormous reserves and is able to be called artesian spring water because the water comes from underground from a confined aquifer, which is a pressurised chamber.
